PRODUCT LAUNCH

A life sciences company had made an invention that defined a new product category. For this company, we estimated market size, created industry benchmarks, visually compared the product to these benchmarks, and developed a matrix of competitive alternatives. Benchmark analysis showed the product had 30% to 90% advantage over alternatives.

SOFTWARE FRAMEWORK

A software company had produced a first-generation web-based product. However, the technology used to build the product originated for desktop applications. Because of this, the company found that its development process was not time and cost competitive with Cloud-native approaches. We helped select and implement a Cloud-native framework and test-next approach that reduced coding and deployment time 50% while improving quality.

MILESTONE PAYMENT

Halfway through an important two-year project, a company found itself in trouble. The project was seriously late due to broken promises and the unexpected failure of a key technology. We led work sessions to redefine tasks and priorities. We daily addressed critical issues. Over the span of several months the project got back on track. The team narrowly achieved deliverables, earning the company sustaining milestone payments.

DUE DILIGENCE

Acquiring a product, especially a newly-developed one, is fraught with uncertainty. In one instance, to determine if representations were true, we audited the documentation and claimed technical specifications of a product and its underlying technology. Notwithstanding imperfections in documentation and minor deviations of specification, we found the representations to be materially accurate.
